CONTINUING CARE

The road ahead

When it comes to healthcare, we’re about maximizing independence. Keeping you the healthiest as long as possible. And giving you plenty of options on the road ahead. It’s a collaboration. A conversation. And a way for us to work together so that you, your spouse, and your family can spend less time worrying and more time enjoying each other.

So how do we do that? We take a holistic approach, which encompasses everything from physical to emotional, social to spiritual. It’s not just health, it’s health and wellness. And no matter where your path takes you, we’re here every step of the way.

Health services

Along the road to health and wellness there are many paths – and we want to be there for all of them. That’s why we’ll travel with you so that it’s continuous, personal, and always a conversation.

How does it work?

Our approach is centered on the entire person. By acknowledging your individual life experiences and preferences, we can help you turn onto a new path that fits in with your life and your likes. It’s a collaboration, and we encourage you to be an active participant. Together with family members, we’ll look at your situation and share which new paths are available as changes occur. Then you can make the choice that best supports your health and wellness goals.

Q&A

When it comes to continuing care, we know there are a lot of questions. Where will I live? What’s right for me? How do I make sure I have access to the services I need? And what kind of services are available? Following are the most frequently asked questions.

I need continuous, licensed healthcare services. Do you have those?

Yes. The Terrace is a licensed assisted living facility and the Metcalf is a licensed residential care facility.

Are The Terrace and The Metcalf the same?

Our approach in both areas is the same: both environments have a licensed charge nurse on-site 24/7, and this professional oversees a team of caregiving staff. Each is supervised by a RN resident care manager and is overseen by our Director of Assisted Living.

How are The Terrace and The Metcalf different?

The primary difference between the two areas is the layout and location of the apartment homes. The Metcalf has a more traditional nursing station while The Terrace is designed as a residential, non-healthcare neighborhood. The Terrace apartment homes also feature kitchenettes. The same care services are provided in both communities.

Do you have a licensed skilled nursing facility?

We don’t, but we offer enhanced assisted living services, which are staffed similar to a skilled nursing facility but in a home-like setting.

What about exercise and rehab?

Integrated exercise and rehab happens no matter where you live. And if you move, your rehab comes with you.

Do you have a Memory Care facility?

Although we don’t have a separate memory care facility, we seek to maintain an integrated environment within our licensed healthcare areas. Many individuals that exhibit the signs and symptoms of dementia are able to have their needs met within our existing healthcare facilities.
