-
Terwilliger Plaza is a stand-alone, independent, nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization, which means there is no owner. The organization of our community is managed by a local Board of Directors, and the majority of the Board are Terwilliger Plaza Members.
-
A CCRC, short for Continuing Care Retirement Community, encompasses a broad range of housing and health/wellness options that promote aging in place by providing access to individualized services and amenities that support your ability to live as independently as possible in your apartment home and to stay close to family, friends and neighbors.
-
For more than 50 years, CARF has set high standards for person-centered care and services. Throughout North America and internationally, CARF accredits more than 8,500 providers operating more than 63,000 programs. It’s an important indication demonstrating a commitment to providing the highest standards of quality, service, and care—and an important consideration in the decision-making process when choosing a senior living community.
-
Less than 10% of Continuing Care Retirement Communities are accredited. To earn this seal, communities must meet or exceed over 1,200 measurements of excellence, including vital issues such as Governance and Finance.
Terwilliger Plaza has been recognized with a CARF-CCAC accreditation since 1997 and is one of two of the only accredited CCRC's in the state of Oregon. Which means, Terwilliger Plaza does more than say we provide quality care—we actually prove it.
