Summary: Fulfills the need of resident’s direct care, both medical and non-medical. Work Schedule: Work Schedule: various shifts available ranging from 2-12 hours per day/evening/night for direct care in In-Home Services. Position: Lifeguard/Aquatics Assistant
Summary: This position is responsible for overseeing the aquatic center, ensuring the safety of the patrons in the swimming area. Duties: Monitors activities at the pool to prevent accidents. Rescue or aid in rescuing any swimmer who is in need of help. Administers First Aid. Cautions swimmers regarding unsafe practices and safety hazards; enforces and adheres to pool rules and regulations. Follows emergency action plan and procedures established in the event of an emergency. Maintains order in the pool areas. Inspects facilities for cleanliness; completes general pool cleaning and maintenance duties. Responsible for the availability and safekeeping of emergency equipment Determines chlorine content and pH value of water, using water testing kit, and record readings. Provides general information on pool operation to pool users. Completes required paperwork.
Work Schedule: Part-Time, 12 hours per week, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 12pm to 4pm.
Qualifications: Must possess certifications in lifeguard/first aid and CPR/AED for the professional rescuer. Knowledge of pool equipment and maintenance. Knowledge of lifesaving methods and procedures, including first aid and standard resuscitation measures. Knowledge of rules and regulations governing conduct of the pool. Knowledge of swimming pool sanitation and chlorination systems. Skilled in the application of lifesaving techniques. Skilled in swimming. Ability to react quickly and calmly in emergencies. Ability to perform rescue actions, administer first aid and CPR/AED Skilled in use of pool lift. Six months of Lifeguard experience.
